{"id":1096,"date":"2019-04-03T22:05:56","date_gmt":"2019-04-03T22:05:56","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.gregkuchyt.net\/?page_id=1096"},"modified":"2019-06-02T18:44:11","modified_gmt":"2019-06-02T18:44:11","slug":"machining-fabricating","status":"publish","type":"page","link":"https:\/\/www.gregkuchyt.net\/?page_id=1096","title":{"rendered":"Machining\/Fabricating"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>While trying to create custom tools to support the work being done to replace bolts in Vermont (<a href=\"https:\/\/vtboltreplace.org)\">https:\/\/vtboltreplace.org)<\/a>, I started working out of the local maker space, Generator (<a href=\"https:\/\/generatorvt.com\/\">https:\/\/generatorvt.com\/<\/a>).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Through the process of learning how to use machine tools at the shop to make the tools I needed, I became more and more interested in learning how to improve my skills as a machinist and later as a metal worker and fabricator. At best I would qualify my skills as a hobbyist at best, but in a short time I&#8217;ve seen my capabilities grow exponentially.
